An Update on Next-Gen: PlayStation 5 Launches Holiday 2020, PS5 (or PlayStation 5) is the next-generation PlayStation, releasing in late 2020, after a long decade that saw Sony emerge as the clear winner in the home console wars in the eyes of many.
The new Sony PlayStation 5 or PS5 has a new controller with haptic technology and adaptive triggers.
"The first two haptic and adaptive triggers are touted as "key innovations." Haptic feedback will provide a more refined vibration to the controller, to let players feel, for instance, the hit of a tackle in Madden.
The triggers will give a sensation of pulling an arrow back on a bow".
While there’s much more to share about PlayStation 5 in the year ahead,
we have plenty of blockbuster experiences coming your way on PS4,
including Death Stranding, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of
Tsushima.
"I’d like to thank all PlayStation fans for continuing the
journey with us, as we embark on the future of games" said Jim Ryan (President and CEO of SIE).
